July and August:

A rather damp July was followed by a much more agreeable August and crops grew well, though some on site reported disappointing results with corn and maize.

A sighting in Gravesend of an Asian hornet had us all on the lookout, but to date none have been seen on site, thankfully.  More information on them can be found in the rules and guidance section of the website.

Several plot holders entered the Southfleet Gardeners Society Summer Show.  A list of winners can be found in our August Newsletter.

January

Slightly warmer weather and longer days enabled many of the plot holders to begin preparing for Spring planting.  Our replacement fruit trees were planted, the committee lit some clearance bonfires and the last few vacant plots were filled.  Our website finally went live!

December

Snow and sub zero temperatures kept us from working but many of us enjoyed the beauty of the site covered in snow!  Take a look at the site under snow in our gallery

November

By the end of November only 2 half plots remain unoccupied.  We welcomed several new plot holders and watched as they cleared and planned for next year.

A google business page for the site was created along with a listing on google maps and our details were added to the Dartford Borough Council website.  Our first newsletter was sent out to members.

New apple trees were purchased to replace the ones lost to storm and vandalism earlier in the year.
